EBOLA: TWO NEW CASES OF EBOLA INFECTIONS REPORTED IN LIBERIA

Liberian authorities on Wednesday reported two new cases of Ebola infections now  making it a total of three cases emerging in Liberia.
Sompson Sieh, Liberia's Deputy Ebola Incident Manager said one of the new cases is an 18 year old girl who was taking care of her 44 year old mother who used to sell food at a local community school before testing positive to the Ebola virus.
80 people are being monitored from the infected woman's community.

The second new case is that of a  young man whose girlfriend is involved in cross-border trading from New Kru Town community.

The young man according to Sompson Sieh lives in New Kru Town community but was seen in another community vomiting blood and was taken to hospital.

These new cases have now dashed Liberia's hope of being declared Ebola free by World Health Organisation (WHO) after having no cases for a period of about three weeks when their last known patient Beatrice Yardolo was discharged .
