Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Strike

April 17,– traffic controllers in Nigeria Friday suspended the nationwide strike they declared on Thursday to press for better pay and improved working conditions, but warned that that a more devastating strike will be declared next week if their demands are not met.
Thursday's strike crippled domestic flight operations costing airlines millions of naira in unearned revenue. Several travellers were also left stranded at various airports. The strike however did not affect international flight operations.
FAAN spokesman, Yakubu Dati, confirmed that normal flights have resumed saying, what the air controllers union declared was a “warning strike.”
