A Former Inspector General of
Police, Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Yusuf, popularly known as M.D Yusuf, has died at
the age of 85 in Abuja, family sources said late Wednesday night April 1st in his home after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.
A
native of Katsina state, Alhaji Dikko was the Inspector General of Police from
1976 to 1979, before
retiring into politics where he unsuccessfully ran for president in the 90s.
He will be buried this afternoon
according to Muslim rites. He's survived by his wife, children and
grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace, Amen
