Obasanjo Tells Buhari to Make Soludo Nigeria's Next Finance Minister

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has recommended former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to Nigeria's president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari for the position of finance minister;

Soludo was a member of the economic team for the Obasanjo administration before becoming the governor of the CBN.

It is however unclear if Buhari will take Obasanjo's suggestion as former CBN chief and Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, a staunch supporter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has severally blamed Soludo for the near-collapse of the Nigerian banking sector.

Also, Soludo is still a card carrying member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
