Mayweather outweighs Pacquiao ahead of big fight

WBA and WBC champion, Floyd Mayweather has weighed in one pound more than Manny Pacquiao – two pounds under the welterweight limit.
WBO welterweight champion Pacquiao weighed in at 10st 5lb, while Mayweather weighed in at 10st 6lb.
The Filipino however enjoyed massive support from the 16,000 fans, who packed into the MGM Grand’s Garden Arena for the official weigh-in.
Mayweather, who remains unbeaten ahead of the big fight, said: “My frame of mind to be smart listen to my father (his trainer Floyd Senior) – without him, I would never be where I am.
“This has been unbelievable turnout of fans supporting me and Manny – now up to us to do what we do best in the ring.”
Pacquiao – a world champion in six weight divisions – also insisted he was not intimidated by Mayweather’s height, reach and weight advantages.
“The fans deserve this fight. I have been fighting bigger guys. It doesn’t bother me. I feel tomorrow that the Lord is with me,” he said. Fans paid $10 for a view of the two boxers at the weigh-in. Only 1,000 tickets went on sale to the general public.
