Nigeria top comedian, Seyi Law has debunked the rumour relating to
the death of his child, adding that his wife never had a miscarriage as
widely speculated.
It would be recalled that the comedian and his
Igbo wife, Ebere Cham had come in contact with the Redeemed Christian
Church of God overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye who prayed for the couple
to be blessed with an offspring in the UK few years ago.
However,
their expectation became a reality when the comedian’s wife conceived
but lost the child due to some major challenges during delivery.
Seyi revealed to Encomium Magazine in a current interviewed that the
difficulty in his wife’s delivery was something that was earlier
disclosed to them but they were hoping the result would change.
He
said, “it was not a news that came in a day, because it was a process.
Actually, there was a diagnosis. We got the result and we were hopeful
it would change. Up to the time she went to the Caesarean section, we
were still hopeful,” he revealed.
Nevertheless, the Yoruba born
comedian disclosed that comforting his wife wasn’t an easy task but with
the help of God, they were able to get through the painful scenario
together.
He however denied the rumour that the complication
resulted to a miscarriage, adding that the baby was alive for about six
hours before giving up the ghost.
“The thing is most people did not understand a Caesarean was done. The
baby was brought out alive and the doctor tried to save the baby, but
after six hours, the baby lost the battle. So it was not a miscarriage.
After the birth, I had the baby in my arms. I heard the baby cry. I
remember I was in the theatre with them when they brought out the baby
and I fainted” he sadly recalled.
The couple celebrated their 4 year wedding anniversary a month ago
