The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Nyesom Wike in
Saturday’s governorship election in Rivers State has been declared the
winner of the election.
While
APC polled One hundred and twenty-four thousand, eight hundred and
ninety-six (124,896) votes, PDP’s Nyesom Wike polls one million,
twenty-nine thousand, one hundred and two (1, 029, 102) votes.
The result was announced at exactly 4:13am this morning by the returning
officer, Faraday Orhunmwense, who declared Wike as the winner of the
governorship election in Rivers State
